Last date to apply: Friday 16 Oct, 2026 The Associate Director - CEDIR is responsible for translating CEDIRs strategic priorities into commercially grounded venture-building, incubation, and acceleration programs. The role requires senior founder/operator experience, demonstrated venture scale-up and fundraising capability, P&L and budget ownership, strategic partnerships, and the ability to build high-performing entrepreneurship programs and teams. MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Develop and implement CEDIRs annual venture-building, incubation, and acceleration plan in line with IBAs strategic priorities. • Lead the design and continuous improvement of incubation and acceleration programs, including startup support, mentorship, workshops, and venture development pathways. • Establish startup selection, assessment, milestone monitoring, performance review, and graduation criteria and ensure consistent application. • Manage CEDIRs program P&L, budgets, revenue streams, cost efficiencies, and financial sustainability in coordination with the Director CEDIR. • Develop strategic collaborations with corporates, investors, accelerators, universities, and IBA Schools to strengthen venture outcomes and institutional partnerships. • Build investor relationships and funding pathways for portfolio ventures, including angel, VC, institutional, and international investor engagement. • Develop and maintain a structured mentor, advisor, trainer, and subject-matter expert network for CEDIR ventures and programs. • Facilitate access to markets, corporate linkages, technical expertise, technology partners, and strategic opportunities for portfolio startups. • Establish startup and program performance dashboards to track portfolio progress, revenue, funding, market traction, and program outcomes. • Identify emerging sectors, technologies, AI applications, and business models relevant to venture creation and CEDIRs future program portfolio. • Ensure effective governance, documentation, due diligence, compliance, team accountability, and operational discipline across CEDIR programs. • Lead, coach, and develop the CEDIR team, ensuring clear objectives, accountability, and performance. • Represent CEDIR/IBA at entrepreneurship and investment forums and prepare periodic performance reviews and strategic recommendations for CEDIR leadership. QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE: • Masters Degree from an HEC-recognized institution, preferably in Business Administration, Management, Entrepreneurship or any other related discipline. • Minimum 10 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in founder/co-founder/C-suite or senior venture-operating roles, together with direct recent experience in incubation, acceleration, or institutional entrepreneurship development. KNOWLEDGE & COMPETENCIES: • Hands-on experience building and scaling venture(s) from early stage to significant national, multi-city, and/or multi-market operations. • Demonstrated experience raising external capital from angel, VC, institutional, and/or international investors, with direct involvement in investor engagement, negotiation, and deployment of funds. • Senior-level responsibility for P&L and budget ownership, revenue growth, cost optimization, financial sustainability, and organizational performance. • Demonstrated experience in business turnaround, restructuring, merger/integration, and/or rapid scale-up environments. • Direct experience in incubation, acceleration, venture development, or entrepreneurship-program management, including startup assessment, mentor engagement, milestone tracking, and portfolio performance. • Strategic partnership experience across startup, corporate, investor, academic, and technology ecosystems. • Experience translating founder/operator expertise into entrepreneurship teaching, training, mentoring, or venture-development programming. • Venture building and scale-up; P&L and budget management; fundraising strategy and investor relations; startup evaluation and due diligence; incubation and acceleration program design; venture performance monitoring and KPI/dashboard management; strategic partnerships; organizational restructuring and turnaround; technology-enabled business models and AI adoption; and stakeholder management across corporate, investor, academic, and entrepreneurial ecosystems.
