POSITION MYP 1 (Grade 6) Science and Maths Facilitator Beaconhouse-Newlands Karachi QUALIFICATION Minimum Bachelor's. Master's degree preferred. EXPERIENCE 3-5 Years KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Plan and teach concept-based MYP Sciences and Mathematics units using global contexts and statements of inquiry • Assess student work against MYP criteria A–D and take part in standardisation and moderation • Plan with the MYP Coordinator and department, including interdisciplinary units • Lead hands-on lab investigations and mathematical inquiries • Build ATL skills and the IB Learner Profile into everyday lessons • Differentiate across Standard/Extended Maths and support EAL and learning support students • Prepare students for MYP 5 eAssessment (where applicable) • Keep the lab safe, organised and properly stocked • Support Service as Action and supervise Personal Projects • Keep parents informed through reports, conferences and the school's digital platforms SKILLS • Recognised teaching qualification or certification • 3+ years of secondary teaching experience, with IB MYP experience strongly preferred • IB MYP Category 1 or 2 workshop training in Sciences and/or Mathematics (or willingness to complete it) • Proficiency in teaching Science and Mathematics at the middle-years level • Excellent spoken and written English
