Job Description: The Department of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) invites applications for full-time, tenure-track assistant professor position in Physical Chemistry. Candidates must have strong potential and passion to develop a globally competitive research program of his/her own interest with a vision to address our national problems, in addition to addressing fundamental questions in Science and Technology. LUMS is committed to providing seed funds to develop such research programs, in addition to providing state-of-the-art research infrastructure and a conducive teaching/research environment. Faculty members will be expected to submit research proposals to the National/International funding agencies and develop linkages with the National/International research groups to make their research programs productive, viable and self-sustainable. They should also have a strong passion for teaching and will be required to teach undergraduate and graduate students in Chemistry. Qualification: Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Chemistry, with specialization in Physical Chemistry, and postdoctoral experience is expected. Additional expertise in Computational Chemistry would be considered a strong asset.
