Job Description: LUMS, through its Suleman Dawood School of Business (SDSB), is implementing a Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) programme as part of a capacity-building project with a public sector partner. The programme is designed to strengthen the analytical, technical, and professional capabilities of officers at the induction level, preparing them for the demands of their respective services. To support the effective delivery and day-to-day administration of this programme, SDSB is seeking a dedicated Programme Specialist on a funded contractual basis for an initial period of one year. Core Responsibilities • Academic Programme Coordination: Manage the day-to-day academic and logistical operations of the programme, including the preparation and maintenance of course schedules, timetables, academic calendars, and classroom arrangements. Coordinate with the Programme Director and faculty to ensure smooth delivery of all academic activities across both semesters and tracks. • Student Affairs & Support: Oversee the full student lifecycle from onboarding and orientation through to programme completion, including registration, enrolment, attendance monitoring, academic progression, and fulfilment of diploma requirements. Serve as the primary administrative point of contact for students on matters relating to programme requirements, academic policies, assessments, and grades. • Faculty & Stakeholder Liaison: Coordinate with faculty members on course delivery requirements, teaching materials, assessment arrangements, and grade submission timelines. Facilitate communication between the academic team and external stakeholders, including institutional partners, guest speakers, and practitioners involved in programme delivery. Organise orientations, workshops, guest sessions, and other programme-related events as required. • Assessment Administration & Record Management: Coordinate the administration of assessments, including midterms, finals, quizzes, and project submissions, in accordance with institutional policies. Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records covering enrolment, attendance, grades, and academic standing. Prepare and submit programme documentation, progress reports, and data as required by the Programme Director and institutional stakeholders. • General Programme & Office Support: Provide broad administrative support to the programme, including correspondence management, meeting coordination, filing, procurement liaison, and financial documentation as required. Support the preparation of programme reports, presentations, and other materials for internal and external use. Undertake any other tasks assigned by the Programme Director in support of effective programme delivery. Qualification: • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Education, Public Administration, or a related discipline. • Experience: 3–5 years of relevant experience in academic administration, programme coordination, student affairs, or a similar role, preferably in a higher education institution. • Skills: Strong organisational and coordination skills, excellent written and verbal communication, attention to detail, ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously, and proficiency in MS Office and academic/student management systems. • Additional Competencies: Ability to coordinate effectively with faculty, students, administrative departments, and external stakeholders while maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, and adherence to institutional policies.
