Job Description: Overview MEDITECH is hiring a Patient Administration & Billing Application Specialist to support healthcare IT implementations across Pakistan. Based in Karachi and reporting to the regional applications team, you will be a subject-matter resource for configuring, supporting and optimizing MEDITECH patient administration and billing modules. You will collaborate with clinical and administrative stakeholders, implementation consultants, and technical teams to ensure accurate patient registration workflows, billing rules, and financial interfaces that meet local regulatory and payer requirements. Key Responsibilities • Maintain and configure patient administration (demographics, visit types, scheduling) and billing/charge capture modules to reflect hospital policies and local regulations. • Participate in implementations and upgrades: requirements gathering, system configuration, testing (unit, integration, UAT) and go-live support. • Develop and maintain mapping for interfaces with billing engines, insurance payers, HIS modules, and financial ledgers. • Troubleshoot user-reported issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement fixes or workarounds; coordinate software patches with global MEDITECH teams. • Create and maintain configuration documentation and standard operating procedures.Job Specification: • Must-have Hands-on experience configuring patient administration, scheduling and billing modules in a hospital information system (MEDITECH or equivalent). • Understanding of clinical workflows, patient registration, admission/discharge/transfer (ADT) processes, and electronic charge capture. • Strong knowledge of billing rules, insurance claim processing, tariffs, and local regulatory requirements in Pakistan. • Experience with interfacing standards (HL7, FHIR) and mapping between clinical and financial systems. • Proficiency in system testing methodologies: unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing; ability to create test scripts and acceptance criteria. • Excellent problem solving, documentation, and training skills; ability to translate technical configuration into business user guidance. • Effective communicator with experience working in multidisciplinary teams and providing client-facing implementation support.
