Job Description: About HSS: The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at the Mushtaq Ahmad Gurmani School of Humanities and Social Sciences (MGSHSS), Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), invites applications for full-time, tenure-track faculty positions (Assistant Professor and above) in Political Science. Qualification: About the Role: We are seeking candidates with expertise in Quantitative Research Methods who can teach in this area alongside core Political Science courses. While candidates will primarily teach undergraduate courses (three per academic year), they will also have the opportunity to teach in the Department's newly launched M.Phil. in Society, Culture, and Politics (SCP). Candidate Profile: Candidates should have a specialisation in one or two of the following subfields: • Comparative Politics • International Relations • Political Economy Applicants should demonstrate: • A strong interest in and commitment to undergraduate teaching in Pakistan • An active research and publishing agenda in one of the fields listed above • A commitment to institution-building and to the intellectual life of the department and university Requirements: Candidates must have completed their PhD or submitted their dissertation at the time of application. This is a full-time, on-campus position requiring physical presence for in-person teaching.
