Job Purpose The Social Mobilizer will be responsible for mobilizing communities, conducting awareness sessions, supporting beneficiary identification and registration, facilitating community engagement, and promoting project activities at the field level. The incumbent will work closely with community members, local authorities, and project teams to ensure effective implementation of project interventions while promoting participation, inclusion, accountability, and protection. Key Responsibilities Community Mobilization • Mobilize communities and facilitate active participation in project activities. • Conduct community meetings, awareness sessions, and outreach campaigns in the target areas. • Build and maintain effective relationships with community leaders, local authorities, and other stakeholders. • Encourage the participation of women, youth, persons with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups in project activities. Awareness and Capacity Building • Conduct awareness sessions on Anticipatory Action (AA) , disaster preparedness, climate resilience, and digital financial literacy. • Disseminate project information using approved IEC materials and community engagement approaches. • Promote community preparedness and resilience through awareness and behavior change activities. Beneficiary Identification and Data Collection • Support beneficiary identification, registration, verification, and data collection in accordance with project selection criteria. • Assist in conducting household surveys, assessments, and needs identification. • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality of beneficiary data. • Support monitoring activities and field verification exercises when required. Community Feedback and Accountability • Facilitate community feedback and complaint response mechanisms. • Maintain records of community feedback, complaints, referrals, and resolutions. • Promote transparency, accountability, and effective communication between the project and communities. Coordination and Reporting • Coordinate closely with the District Coordinator and project team during field implementation. • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly activity reports. • Report implementation challenges, risks, and community concerns to the supervisor in a timely manner. • Support field visits by management, donors, and government counterparts when required. Compliance and Organizational Responsibilities • Follow ACT International policies, operational procedures, and donor (WFP) guidelines. • Maintain confidentiality of beneficiary and project information at all times. • Adhere to ACT International's Code of Conduct. • Comply with Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA), Safeguarding, Child Protection, Anti-Harassment, Anti-Fraud, Anti-Corruption, and Whistleblowing policies. • Promote gender equality, diversity, disability inclusion, accountability, and protection principles throughout project implementation. • Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct. • Perform any other duties assigned by the District Coordinator or Project Manager. Qualification • Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Sociology, Rural Development, Community Development, Disaster Management, or a related field is preferred. Experience • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in community mobilization, social outreach, awareness campaigns, beneficiary engagement, or humanitarian/development programmes. • Experience working with NGOs, INGOs, government projects, or donor-funded programmes will be an added advantage. • Experience in conducting community awareness sessions and field data collection is highly desirable. Skills and Competencies • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills. • Strong community engagement and mobilization abilities. • Ability to work effectively with diverse communities, including women and vulnerable groups. • Good report writing and documentation skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and mobile data collection tools will be an advantage. • Willingness to travel extensively within project areas. • Fluency in Urdu and local languages; working knowledge of English will be an added advantage.
