Three (3) Social Mobilizers are required for the Union Councils of Goharabad, Chiltan, and Samungli in District Quetta (one position per Union Council). Preference will be given to candidates belonging to the respective Union Council. Job Summary: The Social Mobilizer will play a critical role in community engagement for immunization activities, particularly focusing on zero-dose children, defaulters, and refusals. The role involves mobilizing community members, organizing support groups, facilitating outreach sessions, disseminating culturally relevant information, and liaising with religious and community leaders to foster trust and enhance vaccine uptake. Key Responsibilities: • Community Mapping & Identification • Map clusters of zero-dose, defaulter, and refusal cases in coordination with health staff and local informants. • Collect and validate immunization-related data using checklists or digital tools. • Community Engagement & Group Facilitation • Organize and facilitate mothers’ and fathers’ support group meetings to encourage discussions around routine immunization and outreach sites. • Support identification of underserved areas and promote access to health services including 24/7 birth dose facilities. • IEC Dissemination • Distribute culturally appropriate IEC materials in hotspot areas and ensure comprehension by diverse groups. • Collect feedback on the relevance and clarity of the messages shared. • Influencer Engagement • Identify and engage traditional and religious leaders to address cultural barriers and misconceptions around vaccination. • Organize community dialogues, workshops, and roundtables on sensitive health topics such as HPV and birth doses. • Supportive Supervision & Monitoring • Conduct supportive supervisory visits and gather real-time data using the ODK platform. • Work with MEL teams to document lessons learned and support adaptive project planning. • School & Community Sessions • Conduct awareness sessions in schools and communities on HPV vaccination for girls aged 9-14 and their caregivers. • Address fears and myths using verified content and ensure participation from both girls and parents. • Coordination and Advocacy • Support district teams in forming and operationalizing District Health Committees with inclusive representation. • Participate in coordination meetings with DG Health Services and communication task forces to align advocacy points. • Evening Outreach Activities • Assist in planning and executing evening immunization sessions to ensure working families have access to services. Required Qualifications and Experience: • Minimum Intermediate (FA/FSc), Bachelor's degree preferred. • At least 2 years of experience in community mobilization, preferably in public health or immunization projects. • Knowledge of local context, customs, and languages. • Ability to engage respectfully with community leaders and members. • Familiarity with ODK or mobile-based data collection tools is an advantage. Skills and Competencies: • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. • Cultural sensitivity and empathy. • Confidence in conducting community sessions and group meetings. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Basic report writing and record-keeping skills.
