Job Description: Tradewise International, a Lahore-based logistics and supply chain company, is seeking an Import & Export Operations Trainee to join its operations team. This entry-level role is designed for candidates who want hands-on experience in international freight processes, customs documentation, and coordination between suppliers, carriers and internal teams. The trainee will work onsite in Lahore and support daily import and export workflows while learning best practices in compliance and logistics management. • Assist with documentation: prepare and verify commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin and customs declarations. • Coordinate shipments: liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers and vendors to schedule pickups, consolidate cargo and monitor transit status. • Support customs clearance: gather required information, follow tariff classifications, track duties and taxes, and assist in resolving clearance issues. • Track and report: maintain shipment logs, update internal systems with shipment milestones, and produce status reports for supervisors and clients. • Process improvements: participate in review of operational procedures, suggest efficiency improvements and help implement standard operating procedures. • Customer communication: respond to internal and external inquiries regarding shipment status, documentation requirements and delivery schedules. • Compliance and recordkeeping: ensure documents are filed accurately and retained according to company and regulatory requirements. The role includes on-the-job training, mentorship from senior operations staff and exposure to both import and export workflows. Ideal candidates are organized, detail-oriented, and ready to learn in a fast-paced logistics environment. This position is full-time and based in our Lahore office.Job Specification: • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when preparing and checking documentation. • Good verbal and written communication for coordinating with carriers, suppliers and internal teams. • Basic computer skills: MS Excel for tracking shipments, email and experience with database or ERP entry. • Organizational skills to manage multiple shipments and priorities under deadlines. • Problem-solving mindset to follow up on exceptions and assist in resolution of clearance or transit issues. • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and take direction from supervisors during training.Job Rewards and Benefits: Leaves
