POSITION BSS Karakoram Campus Job Title: Cambridge Islamiat Teacher (O Level 2058 / IGCSE 0493) Key Responsibilities • Syllabus Delivery: Teach the complete IGCSE Islamiyat curriculum across Papers 1 and 2, with thorough coverage of all syllabus areas and exam requirements. • Exam Preparation: Train students in IGSCE exam technique, focusing on 10-mark (AO1 descriptive) and 4-mark (AO2 evaluative) questions. • Assessment & Feedback: Conduct regular topical assessments, mock exams, and mark past papers according to official Cambridge mark schemes. • Resource Development: Create structured revision notes, primary source banks, and model answers aligned with the current syllabus. • Mentorship: Foster a respectful classroom culture that promotes Islamic values, critical thinking, and character development. Key Requirements & Skills • Subject Knowledge: Strong command of Islamic history, primary textual sources (Quran/Hadith), and basic classical Arabic terminology. • CAIE Expertise: Proven track record of preparing students for Cambridge O Level/IGCSE exams with a deep understanding of marking criteria. • Writing Pedagogy: Ability to teach essay structuring, historical sequencing, and analytical writing beyond rote memorization. • Communication: Excellent English communication skills and classroom management capabilities. Qualifications • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Islamic Studies, Arabic, or a related field. • Minimum 3-5 years of experience teaching Cambridge O Level or IGCSE Islamiat preferred.
