A national non-profit organization is seeking applications from eligible candidates for the position of Finance Officer in Peshawar, on contract basis for a donor-funded program. Scope of the job: The incumbent will be required to support the finance manager in all financial functions and contribute to the full functioning of all the field offices. Job Description: • Maintain up-to-date and accurate financial records. • Incorporation of all types of vouchers / data into the financial software. • Keep accurate records for all daily transactions. • Process invoices • Provide regular analysis of income & expenditure to the concerned seniors. • Coordination with field offices on their monthly expenditure report and preparation of Journal Vouchers. • Supporting finance manager in banking transactions, accounts & reconciliation. • Maintain computerized records & backup of all QuickBooks’s transactions. • Ensure that all standard operating procedures and appropriate internal controls are implemented in order to minimize the possibilities of fraud & error. • Support the finance manager in preparation of reports for Donors & Management as per the required reporting formats and within the timelines prescribed by the respective contracts/ agreements. • Ensure that all the financial requirements as mentioned in the respective donors’ contracts/agreements are compiled with meticulously. • Any other responsibility allocated by Finance Manager and the Program Manager Education and Knowledge: M.Com, CA inter, ACCA (Affiliate/qualified) Work Experience: 3-5 years’ practical experience in finance for the humanitarian sector is desirable. The candidate shall have excellent proficiency in MS Excel and QuickBooks. Preference will be given to candidates who have recently worked in donor-based, humanitarian setups and to local candidates.
