Project Overview We are seeking specialist profiles for a potential community-based disaster risk reduction and resilience project expected to commence in August 2026 in the districts of Multan and Muzaffargarh in South Punjab. The initiative will work with flood‑affected communities to strengthen local preparedness systems through youth‑led and community‑driven approaches, including the formation and capacity building of community preparedness groups. The project will focus on practical disaster preparedness, contingency planning, early warning dissemination, first‑response coordination, and social cohesion, with a strong emphasis on the meaningful participation of women, youth, persons with disabilities and other marginalized groups. Through targeted training, mock drills, community dialogue sessions and awareness campaigns, the project aims to help communities anticipate, withstand and recover from climate‑induced shocks while reinforcing human security and linkages with local disaster management institutions. Purpose The Community Mobilizers will support grassroots engagement, beneficiary identification, group formation and coordination of community-level activities to ensure effective participation in project interventions. Key responsibilities • Mobilize communities for meetings, training sessions, consultations, mock drills and other project events. • Support identification and registration of participants, with attention to women, youth and marginalized groups. • Assist in community group formation, committee strengthening and follow-up with local structures established under the project. • Conduct community outreach and awareness sessions in local languages on disaster preparedness, resilience and inclusive participation. • Coordinate field logistics and local communication between project staff, community leaders and beneficiaries. • Maintain attendance records, participant lists, meeting notes and field activity documentation. • Support collection of community feedback and relay local concerns, challenges and opportunities to the technical team. • Promote inclusive and conflict-sensitive participation at community level. Required qualifications and experience • Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Education, Development Studies, Disaster Management or related field. • Demonstrated experience in community mobilization, group formation, inclusive engagement and beneficiary identification. • Preference for candidates from South Punjab with familiarity with local context and community dynamics. • Fluency in Saraiki/Punjabi is required; working knowledge of Urdu is essential. • Prior experience with NGO, development or humanitarian field activities will be an advantage. • Basic documentation and coordination skills. Competencies • Strong interpersonal and community outreach skills. • Ability to build trust with local communities and leaders. • Good local-language communication skills. • Commitment to inclusion, respect and field discipline.
