Job details
Education: Post Graduate Training of FCPS or equivalent. Experience: 4 Years training completed. A. PATIENT CARE Assess, diagnose, and manage patients in OPD, IPD, ER, ICU, or specialty units as assigned. Propose a diagnosis based on history, examination, laboratory and imaging data. Develop and implement treatment plans under Consultant supervision. Perform clinical procedures within scope of training, specialty and the limits of credentialing granted by the IHHN. Participate in ward rounds and case discussions; ensure timely and accurate patient documentation. Respond to medical emergencies and code blue situations, escalate complex cases to Consultants appropriately. Provide on-call coverage as per duty roster. Stabilize patients and coordinate referrals when required. Coordinate with nursing and allied health teams for patient care and coordinate care for continuity of treatment. Counsel the patients and their families and obtain informed consent for their treatment. Monitor the patients' progress and modify the treatments as their conditions evolve. Ensure the allocation of appropriate time and resources for all patient care processes and procedures. B. QUALITY OF CARE AND PATIENT SAFETY Provide clinical guidance and ensure adherence with hospital clinical guidelines and SOPs. Participate in clinical audits, morbidity and mortality meetings as guided. Follow infection prevention and patient safety standards. Engage with other teams to facilitate high quality care and improve patient experience. Ensure all patient care is delivered in compliance with the standards of care set by IHHN, provincial and national regulatory authorities. Communicate effectively with staff, patients and attendants in both verbal and written form. Ensure confidentiality and privacy of patients. Ensures the respect for dignity; cultural, religious and social sensitivities of the patients under the care. C. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT Participate in CME, research initiatives and case presentations for capacity building at the workplace. Receive ongoing training to maintain essential certifications (e.g., BLS, ACLS, ATLS). Demonstrates commitment to continuous professional growth and strives for own professional development. D. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES Perform any other task assigned by the Head of Department that is commensurate with your knowledge and skills.
