Pharmacy Assistant (Sehwan Based)

Education: Intermediate with Dispenser Diploma. Experience: At least 1-year prior work experience required. OR 6 months Internship at TIH. Tasks and Responsibilities: Supervise and assist in out Pharmacy Services inventory management; collect information required for interventions.  Review, monitor and control drug profile and Computerized Physician’s Order Entry (CPOE) of all out door patients, Contact with clinical pharmacist and physicians in case of in-accuracy of order / non availability of medicine or alternative.  Assist to clinical pharmacist in Antibiotic stewardship round to explore the role of Pharmacist towards patient care.  Assist to clinical pharmacist and monitor high alert medication dispensation and provide all related precautions and information for proper administration.  Maintain document all interventions on the system, and present all relevant issues to clinical pharmacist, Pharmacy Services daily.  Compile and prepare presentations/ data on Effective Interventions monthly.  Assist pharmacist, Pharmacy Services to develop hospital formulary and ensure its effective implementation at TIH.  Develop strong communication between the Pharmacies, clinical and nursing staff  Identify and correct HMIS related problems (in coordination with HI), and provide summary reports to clinical pharmacist.  Review and monitor stock of all crash trolley medicines and present monthly reports to clinical pharmacist.  Assist to pharmacist to Provide current and accurate drug information to health care professionals. Drug information would include a thorough understanding of new medications, and suitable formulary agents for use in specific therapies. Assist to pharmacist to Record drug information data and prepare graphical reports of monthly drug information, provided by the Pharmacy department.  Provide technical and administrative support to Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians and training to the interns.  Monitor and record all non-formulary drugs available at site.  Perform all related tasks assigned by line Manager Pharmacy/ Assistant Manager Pharmacy.
