Marie Adelaide Leprosy Centre (MALC) Job Opportunity Position: Occupational Therapist Location: MALC Centre for Rehabilitation of Children with Physical & Neurodevelopmental Disabilities Maskan-e-Rahat, Catholic Colony No. 1, Karachi Education & Experience • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy (BS Occupational Therapy) from an HEC-recognized institution. • Valid registration with the relevant professional council (where applicable). • Minimum 1–3 years of relevant clinical experience in pediatric rehabilitation, neurodevelopmental disabilities, or a rehabilitation setting will be preferred. Job Responsibilities • Conduct occupational therapy assessments and identify individual client needs. • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans. • Provide therapy to improve fine motor skills, gross motor skills, sensory processing, coordination, and functional abilities. • Support clients in developing activities of daily living (ADLs) and independence skills. • Deliver sensory integration and other evidence-based therapeutic interventions. • Monitor client progress and modify treatment plans as required. • Maintain accurate clinical records, treatment notes, and progress reports. • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, teachers, and multidisciplinary team members. • Provide guidance and home programs to parents/caregivers. • Participate in case discussions, multidisciplinary team meetings, and continuous professional development activities. • Maintain professional ethics, patient confidentiality, and safeguarding standards. Skills • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. • Good clinical assessment and documentation skills. • Compassionate, patient-centered approach with excellent problem-solving abilities.
