Job Description: Company: Solectra by SM Solar Location: Lahore, Pakistan (on-site) Employment type: Full-Time Shift: Morning Shift Overview: The Electrician (Solar) will install, maintain and repair residential solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, perform electrical wiring and connections, commission systems, troubleshoot faults, and ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards. Work includes rooftop and outdoor environments and collaboration with installation teams and engineers. The role is hands-on and does not include team management. Key responsibilities: • Install and commission residential solar PV systems including solar panels, inverters, batteries, breakers, isolators, and distribution boards • Perform DC and AC wiring, connections and integration of balance-of-system components • Conduct system testing, performance evaluations and commissioning • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and solar system faults; perform repairs and maintenance • Upgrade or modify existing electrical infrastructure to support solar installations • Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and solar system layouts • Ensure compliance with local electrical codes, safety standards and company procedures • Coordinate with installation teams and engineers to meet project timelines • Support installation, maintenance or repair of backup power and hybrid solar solutionsJob Specification: • Must-have: 2+ years experience in residential electrical systems and solar PV installation • Must-have: Diploma in Electrical Technology or equivalent hands-on experience • Must-have: Competence with DC and AC wiring, breakers, isolators, distribution boards, inverters, battery systems • Must-have: Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics • Must-have: Experience with system testing, commissioning and troubleshooting solar PV systems • Must-have: Knowledge of local electrical codes and safe work practices • Preferred: Experience with backup power systems or hybrid solar solutions • Preferred: Ability to work at heights and in outdoor rooftop environments
