Pakistan Red Crescent Society –PHQ Balochistan, Quetta JOB OPPORTUNITY Urgently Required for District Barshore for CDC-supported Immunization Programme Pakistan Red Crescent Society Balochistan Branch is looking for dynamic and result oriented candidate for the following vacant position for its Routine Immunization Programme for District Barshore. Male and Female candidates from District Barshore from the concerned Union Councils are only eligible to apply. Job Title: Vaccinator Total Position: 18 (09 males and 09 females) Location: Different Union Councils of District Barshore Position Objectives: Under the direct supervision of the District Supervisor and Field Surveillance Officers, the incumbent will work on the framework of national policies and guidelines defined in EPI Programme. S. No Specific Duties, Responsibilities, and Accountabilities 1 To ensure the availability of adequate quantities of vaccines. 2 To maintain the cold chain for the vaccines and proper reporting of Cold Chain. 3 He will be responsible for monitoring the quantity and expiry date of all the vaccines used by him/her and to inform the Medical Officer of the need to reorder vaccines/supplies at least 20 days in advance of need. 4 S/he will be responsible for the correct use, sterilization and care of all the equipment/medical supplies used by the team in the implementation of the program. 5 S/he will administer the correct vaccines and explain the correct dosage of all vaccines to the children according to the EPI guidelines and share the daily data on EPI apps. 6 S/he will maintain an accurate daily and permanent registers of the vaccines administered and vaccines/ supplies issued by the provincial EPI store. 7 S/he will ensure that all equipment is maintained according to the best hygiene practices. 8 S/he will provide regular daily, weekly and monthly reports of vaccines utilization to Medical Officer and to the District Supervisor. 9 S/he will be participating in weekly meetings of health team to discuss work plan and work-related issues. Education • Intermediate 12-years education in from recognized Institute/Board • For the post of Vaccinator, EPI diploma/ health technician diploma is mandatory. • Experience Certificate in Vaccination from a recognized institute with at least 1 or 2 years of experience in relevant field with INGO/NGO/ Hospital/ is considered necessary. • The candidate must have local domicile of the Union Council in Barshore district. • Local female candidates are encouraged to apply. Experience 1. The incumbent must have at least 1 year of professional work experience in vaccination, polio eradication, immunization activities, health emergencies OR other field-level public health programs. 2. Proficiency in MS Office. 3. Familiarity and work experience with community. 4. The incumbent must have clear understanding of gender equality, sexual exploitation, abuse and harassment. Skills/Knowledge • The person should have pleasant personality, good interpersonal and communication skills. S/he should have good planning and report writing skills. He/She should be flexible, committed and dedicated. • Good Urdu and Pushto are essential. Maximum age limit 40 Years Travelling Extensive Outreach sessions in the field.
