Position Summary: The Programme Officer is required to have knowledge of management principles involved in project cycle management, leadership techniques, report writing and coordination with external stakeholders. The Program Officer will be responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing, monitoring, and reporting program activities under the Human Appeal thematic areas being implemented through AMINAH Center Lahore. The role requires close coordination with beneficiaries, community stakeholders, field teams, partner organizations, and internal departments to ensure quality implementation of interventions related to Livelihoods, Health, WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene), Seasonal Programs, Non-Formal Education, and Orphan & Child Welfare Program (OCWP). S/he will be responsible for the management of projects in accordance with the project documents, donor requirements, ground realities & policy dynamics, lobbying & coordination with stakeholders, and donor compliance. S/he will work with relevant Programme Managers and the M&E department for smooth and effective implementation of different projects in the district. Job Description: A. Program Planning & Implementation Support the effective implementation of projects and activities under Human Appeal thematic areas: • Livelihoods • Health • WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) • Seasonal Activities (Ramadan, Qurbani, Winterization, Emergency, etc.) • Orphan and Child Welfare Program (OCWP) • Non-Formal Education • Develop activity plans and implementation schedules in coordination with management. • Ensure project activities are implemented according to approved work plans, donor requirements, and organizational standards. • Conduct regular field visits to monitor project progress and provide technical support where required. • Facilitate beneficiary identification, registration, verification, and documentation processes. Livelihood Program Responsibilities • Support vocational training, skills development, entrepreneurship, and income-generation initiatives. • Monitor business grants, livelihood support packages, and beneficiary progress. • Conduct beneficiary follow-up visits and impact assessments. Health Responsibilities • Manage case identification, screening, verification, and referral processes. • Coordinate with hospitals, healthcare providers, and beneficiaries regarding medical support. • Maintain accurate records of medical assistance cases and treatment outcomes. WASH Program Responsibilities • Support the implementation of water supply, sanitation, and hygiene promotion activities. • Conduct community awareness sessions on hygiene and sanitation practices. • Monitor WASH infrastructure projects and beneficiary utilization. Seasonal Programs Responsibilities • Coordinate planning and implementation of Ramadan food distributions, Qurbani projects, winter assistance, and emergency response initiatives. • Ensure transparent beneficiary selection and distribution processes. • Prepare distribution plans, beneficiary records, and post-distribution reports Non-Formal Education • Support the implementation of Non-Formal Education activities at AMINAH Centre Lahore. • Ensure project activities are implemented according to approved work plans, donor requirements, and organizational standards • Represent AMINAH Center in meetings, workshops, assessments, and coordination forums when assigned. • Support all non-formal courses running in the centre and innovate the learning methods as per non-formal education standards. Orphan & Child Welfare Program (OCWP) Responsibilities • Monitor sponsored children and maintain updated beneficiary records. • Coordinate child welfare activities, educational support, and sponsorship-related documentation. • Conduct regular follow-up visits and ensure child safeguarding standards are maintained. • Prepare sponsorship updates, child profiles, and donor communication materials. B. Coordination & Stakeholder Engagement • Coordinate with local authorities, community leaders, partner organizations, and relevant stakeholders. • Maintain strong communication with field teams to ensure smooth implementation and timely reporting. • Represent the field office in meetings, workshops, assessments, and coordination forums when assigned. • Support community mobilization and awareness activities related to project objectives. C. Monitoring, Reporting & Documentation • Collect, verify, and analyze program data from field teams. • Ensure timely preparation and submission of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and donor reports. • Upload and maintain program data on organizational MIS systems and databases. • Prepare case studies, success stories, beneficiary profiles, activity reports, and project updates. • Maintain complete and organized project documentation, records, and correspondence. D. Compliance & Data Protection • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, safeguarding procedures, and donor requirements. • Maintain confidentiality and protection of beneficiary and staff information. • Ensure transparency, accountability, and proper utilization of project resources. • Identify implementation challenges and promptly report to management with recommendations Qualification: Minimum Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Social Sciences /Project Management / Public Administration or a related subject Work Experience: • Minimum of 4 years’ experience working in Livelihoods/Sponsorship-related programmes in a development, campaign, or humanitarian organisation. • 1-2 Years of Program/Project leading experience in the same position will be a plus. • Experience working with host governments, UN bodies, INGOs, and local NGOs Demonstrated Skills & Competencies: • Ability to self-manage on a technical level and to take the initiative in routine operations • Excellent coordination skills • Training and mentoring experience with field technical colleagues • Excellent interpersonal, communication and representative skills (written, oral, cross-cultural) • Strong on donor relations in the emergency/humanitarian context • Adaptability and the ability to re-prioritise according to the changing context • Good interpersonal skills and ability to develop and maintain relationships. • Ability to work creatively, effectively and in an innovative manner. • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality in relation to work, privacy and data. • Excellent communication skills in written and verbal English as well as the local languages. PSEA and Safeguarding: Human Appeal has a zero tolerance to Sexual Exploitation and Abuse of staff as well as beneficiaries. Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) is everyone’s responsibility. All staff must adhere to the Code of Conduct that enshrines principles of PSEA, always (both during work hours and outside work hours). It is mandatory for applicants to self-declare prior issues of sexual or other misconduct, termination of past employment, criminal records, and concerns registered with government authorities regarding contact with children, and to consent to the disclosure of any such information by their former employers during the recruitment process. Note: Position is subject to approval of donor funding. As, we are looking for immediate hires, we will be reviewing candidates on a rolling basis.
