Education: Masters in Phsiology, Training of ICD-9 and 10 Coding. Experience: 1 - 2 Years of experience on coding and abstraction from a reputed hospital. JOB SUMMARY : Responsible of coding and abstracting of inpatient and daycare discharges according to prescribed classification / procedure. TASK & ACCOUNTABILITIES : Code Inpatient/Outpatient and day care discharges using coding classification and TIH guidelines Prepare standard reports from coded / abstract data provided under the supervision of the Coding Assistant Manager. Participate in clinical audit meetings to enhance accuracy of coding and rectify anomalies in the existing abstract Update histopathology of coded charts daily Monthly update daycare and inpatient discharges report Monthly update discharges report based on specialty Trace and code all medical record folders that were not coded on the very next day Trace and code backlog discharges Any other task that is assigned by the Head / Assistant Manager coding.
