TERMS OF REFERENCE (TOR) Hiring of Master Trainer for Training of Trainers (ToT) of Community Resource Persons -CRPs on Water Safety and Hygiene Promotion. Required Technical & Financial Proposal with Timeline. 1. Background Laar Humanitarian and Development Programme (LHDP) is implementing the project "WASH & Livelihood Support for Affected People of Sindh" in District Sujawal with Support of Action Against Hunger -ACF). The project aims to improve access to safe water, promote healthy hygiene practices, and enhance the resilience of vulnerable communities affected by climatic and socio-economic challenges. To strengthen community-level awareness and behaviour change, LHDP intends to conduct a 4 Trainings of 2-day each Training of Trainers (ToT) for 80 Community Resource Persons (CRPs) on Hygiene Promotion and Water Safety. Following the training, CRPs will conduct awareness sessions within their respective communities approximately 85000 individuals to disseminate key WASH messages in Taluka Jati district Sujawal. 2. Purpose of Assignment The purpose of this assignment is to build the knowledge and facilitation skills of CRPs on hygiene promotion, safe water handling, household water treatment, sanitation practices, and community awareness methodologies so that they can effectively conduct community-level sessions and BCC Activities. 3. Objective of the Assignment Specific objectives of the assignment are to: • Strengthen the technical Capacity of CRPs on Key Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Practices. • Promote Safe water handling, treatment and storage at HH level. • Improve Knowledge and Practices related to personal and environmental hygiene. • Enhance the Capacity of CRPs to deliver session on Hygiene promotion, prevention of water born disease. • Local Pool of volunteers /CRPs will be established in community to promote good hygiene practices. 3. Scope of Work The consultant shall design and facilitate training of trainers for 2 days training of 80 Participants (25 Participants in each training). Comprising CRPs ensuring gender balanced participation. The training Curriculum shall include: Hygiene Promotion • Importance of personal hygiene. • Critical times for handwashing. • Safe food hygiene practices. • Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM). • Household and environmental sanitation. • Prevention of waterborne diseases. Water Safety • Safe drinking water concepts. • Sources of water contamination. • Household water treatment methods. • Safe water collection, transportation, storage, and handling. • Water safety practices at household and community levels. Facilitation Skills • Communication and presentation skills. • Community mobilization techniques. • Conducting community awareness sessions. • Use of IEC materials and key behaviour change messages through Pictorial Calendar Cards. 4. Training Methodology • Inter active Presentation • Demonstration Practical Session • Use of Pictorial IEC Material (Caledner Cards) • Group Discussion 5. Role and Responsibilities of the Master Trainer • Develop Detailed training agenda and session plan. • Prepare Training Manul, Presentation, Practical Exercise • Conduct 4 trainings of 80 CRPs. • Pre-test and post-test tools. • Conduct Practical Demonstration • Develop Session Plan for CRPs 6. Deliverables The consultant will submit: • Training presentations and facilitation materials. • Attendance sheets and training documentation. • Final training report including: • Training overview. • Participant profile. • Learning outcomes. • Assessment results. • Challenges and recommendations. • Photographs of training activities. • Key Findings and Observations 7. Duration 4 Trainings of 2 days each. Total 8 Days, after signing Contract. Training schedule to be finalized mutually by consultant and LHDP’s Project Coordinator. 8. Training location Jati City, District Sujawal. 9. Required Qualifications The consultant should possess: • At least Bachelors’ degree in Public Health, Environmental Health, WASH, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field. • Minimum 3 years of experience in WASH-related training and capacity building as a consultant or practitioner • Demonstrated experience in Hygiene Promotion and Water Safety training. • Experience working with NGOs, INGOs, or community-based projects. • Strong facilitation, communication, and report-writing skills. • Fluency in Local Language, Sindhi 10. Reporting The Master Trainer will work under the direct supervision of the Project Coordinator/WASH Technical Officer of LHDP and will coordinate closely with the Project team. 11. Facilitation By LHDP LHDP will arrange availability of Training Participants, Training Hall, Filed Visit, Required Stationary with multimedia and Food of Participants. 12.
